Federal Signal’s Smart Siren is now even smarter with the introduction of the SSP3000 Platinum series. What’s made this controller the smart choice? It’s the revolutionary design of the new amplifier. Re-engineered from the inside out, the amplifier takes the guess work out of your vehicles’ control system. Together with the reliable, easy-to-use control head, the SmartSiren Platinum is the intelligent choice. It’s what’s inside that matters.

• Power Up - Rugged power terminals are easily identified by the terminal covers and provide secure connections.
• Fourteen Relay Outputs - Ten 10-AMP and four 3-AMP relays correspond to each auxiliary output. Each fuse will illuminate if a failure occurs, allowing for instant visual diagnostics. The ten 10-amp relays can source either (+12 VDC) or ground (-). The four amp relays source (+12 VDC).
• Four Programming Inputs - This diagnostic feature indicates active inputs for the SSP3000. Inputs 1 and 2 are activated by (+12 VDC) and inputs 3 and 4 are activated by applying ground (-).
• Auxiliary Output Diagnostics - LEDs illuminate to indicate auxiliary output operation. LEDs flash to emulate auxiliary output operation.
• Systems Operations Diagnostics - This diagnostic indicates power is being supplied to the auxiliary outputs, SignalMaster functionality, and if the unit is transmitting and receiving data. It will also visually indicate that the lightbar is functioning.
• Siren Control and Diagnostics - This diagnostic indicates power is being supplied to the auxiliary outputs, and if the unit is transmitting and receiving data. The public address and radio rebroadcast volume controls are easily accessible as well as the fuses for horn ring and siren.
• Serial Communications - The amplifier has six easily accessible RS485 serial ports. These serial ports provide access to Federal Signal’s convergence network. The convergence network provides easy installation of compatible Federal Signal products.
• Locking Relay Connectors - All fourteen auxiliary relay outputs are readily accessible on the back face of the unit. The SSP3000 is provided with locking connectors for all inputs.
• Control Head Functionality - The SmartSiren controller contains the same popular functions such as the push-button illuminated buttons, rugged toggle threeposition toggle switch and SignalMaster indicator.
• Control Head Communication - The SmartSiren control head provides connections for the RS485 Convergence Network as well as PA adjustment, speaker park disable, horn ring and ignition inputs.
• System Programmability - The control head has an Ethernet port located on the side. This port when connected to laptop allows for simple user programming.
