This kit is only for Model 512 & 552 Sights manufatured prior to January of 2009.

Eotech now offers a user installable kit to repair you battery cap should the spring and/or rubber gromet fail.

You should check the silver "dog bone" contacts inside the battery cap to ensure it is still intact and free of corosion prior to ordering. If the silver "dog bone" has corosion or is missing the battery cap is not repairable and a new battery cap should be ordered.
